Welcome to Rebecca Knits
There's just something wonderful about the feel of textiles. The further we go into the digital age the more important it becomes for us to touch something real. For many of us life is becoming two dimensional. How fantastic it is to pick up a ball of yarn and shape it into something three dimensional. I used to be afraid that knitting was on the decline. Now with help from the Internet, I can see it is on the rise again. I'm designing this website myself, so it will probably always be under construction. Please have patience with me on that. I wanted a place for my Children and Grandchildren to find the help and encouragement they need to keep this hobby alive. This site is graciously hosted by a friend, from hundreds of miles away (Thanks Mike!). If you would like another way to get your hands into feeling the real dimensions of life, check out his site and bake some homemade bread. Sourdough homeNew

A special thank you
I would like to thank all of my friends far and near, whose love and support has seen my family through these last few months. The sudden death of my brother-in-law has been very difficult. He will be dearly missed. Your heartfelt e-mails, phone calls and cards have meant so much to us.
Your kindness and sympathy at this time are more appreciated than any words can ever express.
I would also like to thank my customers and fans for their patience with me in this time of family crisis. I will be updating this site soon.

About me

I have been knitting since I was ten years old. I'm not going to share how long that has been, but I am a Mother of four and a Grandmother of two.
I find knitting to be very relaxing and you can tell from the photo that puppies find it relaxing as well.
I grew up just outside of Chicago but have lived in Colorado for the last thirty years. It's almost always sweater weather here so I keep my needles busy.
I love to work with textiles of all kinds. I sew, crochet, do embroidery and of course knit. Spinning was a natural addition to my hobbies. When I could not find the yarn I wanted, I decided to make my own.
Knitting Night
I host a "knitting night" once a week and hope that the group will share their projects and photos with you soon.
